Fixtures for this weekend

A very busy weekend indeed this weekend as all the Division 1 teams have games, the Division 2 teams have games on Saturday and Sunday and the RDL is on. Our table officiating resources will be stretched to the maximum this weekend as we are also running a Referees course so please make sure you volunteer to do the table if you are available.

The Senior Women are back in action on Friday after their weekend off. They are in a very strong position as they travel to Paisley to play St Mirren with 4 games left to play and no losses and their nearest rivals Lady Rocks on 2 defeats.

The Senior Men will hope to bounce back from the disappointment of their defeat last weekend as they travel to Glasgow to play Glasgow Rocks with every game a must win game in their bid to qualify for the play offs.

The Cadet Men and Cadette Women both travel to Lagoon on Saturday to play St Mirren. The Cadet Men are on a great run of form and will be hoping on a much improved result from the heavy defeat they suffered the last time the teams met. Whilst the league is St Mirren's to lose, as they have only 1 defeat compared to the 4 losses suffered by all the nearest challengers including Kings, Head Coach Craig Nicol will be looking to inflict the second defeat of the season on the Paisley team. The Cadette Women have a tough game as St Mirren are one of the joint league leaders and are very strong this season. Kats will be fighting hard to improve on the result from the last meeting.

Two of our Division 2 teams are in action at Portobello on Saturday as the Junior Men play Glasgow City and the Cadet Men Thistle team play Perth. So please come along and show them your support if you can.

On Sunday its the Junior Men and Women's turn to travel to the Lagoon! The Junior Women will be hoping to overturn the narrow loss the last time they met St Mirren. The Junior Men have a vital top of the table match with St Mirren with the Kings league leaders with one defeat and St Mirren sitting in second place with two defeats. The games so far this season have been one a piece with Kings coming out on top in the league match by 7 points but St Mirren taking the match in their meeting in the Cup. So this should be a brilliant game and the result will go a long way to deciding the destination of the league title.

Holy Rood High School will be the home venue for 4 of our Division 2 teams on Sunday as the Junior Men, Senior Men and the two Cadet Men teams are in action.

Our U12s and U14s are also in action in the Regional Development League on Sunday so its a busy weekend for the Club with 15 teams hitting the court in City of Edinburgh colours!
