Weekend preview 25th and 26th January

This weekend sees the Junior Women get a rest weekend after their double header last weekend, the Senior Women also get to rest up before their big Cup Final weekend next week. All our other National League teams are at Portobello on Saturday.

First up are the Cadette Women who will have a really tough match against the undefeated league leaders, St Mirren. Having lost heavily in the Cup to the same team, coaches Kara and Chelsea will be looking for an improvement and will be hoping that the return of Zoe and Nicole Urquhart will freshen things up.

Next up are the Cadet Men who warm up for next week's Cup Final with a league game against Glasgow City. The last time the teams met, Kings won by 17 points, so a home win will be expected. The Cadet Men will also be boosted by the return of Jamie Campbell.

The Junior Men will play Glasgow Rens next, again Kings were the victors the last time the teams met but Rens are always tricky opposition so there will be no complacency from the home team who are keen to get back on track with a win.

The last game of the day sees the Senior Men also entertain visitors from the west as they welcome Glasgow Storm to Portobello. Once again Menelaos Kokolios will be missing as he is taking a break to concentrate on his university studies. Coach Doug will be hoping to put last weekend's defeat behind him and entertain the home crowd with a win!

Remember we have 2 weekend passes for the Cup Finals up for grabs in our raffle on Saturday and as usual the Tuck Shop will be open for business.

On Sunday the Senior Women have a big game in the Lothian League as they play Edinburgh Lions at Broughton High School, with Kats undefeated and Lions having lost only one game, it should make for an exciting match!

Also on Sunday the Junior Men take on Edinburgh Lions in National League Division 2 at Holy Rood High School. Both teams only have one defeat this season so it is shaping up to be a battle of the title contenders.
