Senior Women win at Rocks to open up the League again

Kats Senior Women had a hard fought victory over St Maurice's Rocks at Cumbernauld on Sunday by 64 - 56, inflicting Rocks first defeat of the season.

Following their big points win last weekend the Senior Women had to work much harder for their victory over Rocks. Coach Gunn was able to run 9 deep on his bench and managed to freshen up those on court throughout the game.

Solid contributions from an experienced group of players saw the team through to a victory which means the National League title is still up for grabs. Hannah with 20 and Emma with 11, led the scorers, but good contributions from several others means the team is not reliant on one player.

Junior Women still on course

The Kats Junior Women had previously continued their winning way with a 35 - 51 result against their Rocks counterparts. Lots of energetic play in both defence and offence saw the team never really troubled, giving them their 2nd victory of the weekend.

They defeated Tayside Musketeers away on Friday night by 43 - 55. Again the pace in the team was crucial as they ran the floor against their opponents.

The Junior Women are now 10 and 0 in the League and playing consistently well in every game. They will be looking forward with confidence to the final round of league games, facing all their opponents once more before Easter.

Cadette Women lose to Rocks

The Cadette girls lost in the 3rd game of the day on Sunday. With 6 games left to play, Coach Gillies will be targeting victories against Fury, Polonia, Highland and Tayside to move her team up the League before the play-offs.
