Close, but no coconut for the Junior Women at Linwood.

The Junior Women's team put in a much improved performance against St Mirren at Linwood on 10th December, but came up short, finally going down by 7 points.

The girls began the game much better than 2 weeks ago and had leads of 2,1 and 6 at the end of the first 3 quarters.

We were unable to sustain the position under much pressure in the final quarter, eventually going down 60 - 53.

The girls continue to improve game by game and were much more competitive in this game than the last time we played St Mirren. Encouraging signs and all the girls are just in their 1st year Junior.

Cup semi away to Polonia on Sunday 18th Dec should be a good one.
