Junior Women the only winners at Cumbernauld

After a disappointing overtime loss for the Senior Women and the Cadette Women losing to their counterparts, the Junior Women restored the balance a little by grinding out a 70 - 77 win against Rocks at St Maurice's HS on Sunday.

With Hannah almost out on her feet after the Senior Womens game (and maybe after her birthday celebrations too!!), and Kirsten injured and unable to play, the rest of the girls stepped up and worked hard throughout the game.

Down 3 at the half the girls put in a great 3rd quarter to lead by 6 going into the final quarter. Despite some heavy pressure, the girls played securely and fought hard for the 7 point win.

Hannah still managed 19 points whilst running on empty and Kirsty Edwards, who had not trained all week because of illness, came on half-way through the 3rd quarter to notch up 17 points before the end of the game - hot hands.

Good points from Geraldine, Nicole, Shannon, Rowan and Elspeth showed that it was a good team performance again.
