Our Club Players of the Year

Leanne Page

"Leanne came to City of Edinburgh about 5 years ago as an established international. She had won honours at her previous club and knows what it takes. She is a religiously hard worker, consistently putting in the same effort at practices as she does at games. A really good example for the younger players. This season she consistently came up with big scoring games. She was also usually given the toughest defensive assignments, and her efforts and success in that area were hugely instrumental in achieving our wins." Ben Gunn, Senior Women's Head Coach

Findlay Wood

"Findlay has been a consistently valuable member of City of Edinburgh Basketball squads over the years. One of an elite few who will end up going to three Euro B U18s Championships to represent his country. Findlay was an integral part of the U18s league winning campaign this year with few teams able to cope with his acceleration, ability to get to the basket and his vision to create shots for others. He also added a deadly perimeter threat as part of the sharp shooting U18s trio that lead the team to the league title. He was also able to step up and play an important role with the Senior Men's squad which is a difficult task for any Junior player." Craig Nicol, Talent Manager, Cadet Men Head Coach and Junior Men Assistant Coach
