Scotland's and City of Edinburgh's first female Olympic basketball player, Rose Anderson, made her comeback for the Kool Kats against Polonia Phoenix last Sunday.
Rose, who is currently back home in Tranent, helped the Kats to an emphatic 72-30 over their local rivals at The Crags.
We caught up with Rose and asked her about her recent return and her plans for the future:
We are delighted to have you back at City of Edinburgh but what has brought you here?
I am home waiting on my American Visa, which is being processed at the moment. My Parents live in Tranent, so I'm living with them in the meantime. Which means lots of good food!
How does it feel to be training with your old team mates and coaches?
The freezing gym definitely makes me feel like I'm back at home haha! Genuinely though, it feels like I never left. The majority of the players are same with the exception of new youngsters. I love seeing all the young kids coming through, and I'm keeping my eyes peeled for some future stars!
What are your long term plans?
My plans for the future definitely involve coaching, most likely in the US. I enjoy teaching and passing on knowledge that I have learned over the years. I'm hoping I can have a smooth transition from playing to coaching. But for right now, I'm back to being a Kool Kat!
