The club's U12 squad were hosts to special visitors from Tanzania last week.
Wilfred Moshi reached the top of Mount Everest on 23 May 2012. He is the first Tanzanian to do so. He launched the Hand in Hand Global Vision Project from there which has involved 11 schools in Edinburgh and their partner schools in the Kilimanjaro District of Tanzania, East Africa.
Wilfred is here for a month with his family to share his experiences with all those who are part of the Twende Pamoja (translation: Let us walk together) family of friendships.
On their second day in Edinburgh they enjoyed meeting all the young people who are part the City of Edinburgh Under 12s and discovered that playing basketball crosses differences of language and culture and brings young people from across the world together.
Wilfreds two children, Martin & Martina, were presented with T shirts and basketballs at the end of the session and which will be bouncing around the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro when they return home next month.
