Kings Reign Supreme over Dunfermline 75-46
It was a very chilly night in the hall for this one but that didn’t stop Mike Murray heating up with some excellent play to get the Kings off to a commanding lead and finishing the 1st Quarter 23-9. Steven Turnbull was forced of with an ankle injury early on but still managed a handful of rebounds and 6 points. Piotr Jagodzinski came on for Steven Turnbull and immediately made an impact and continued to do so as the game went on at both ends of the floor, this meant that the game plan never changed and Dunfermline just could not stop the Kings scoring.
In the 2nd half the Kings came out strong and throughout the half Mike Murray and Craig Nicol made a number of steals and converted on the fast breaks for some easy scores. The game was finished off just it started with a strong defence only giving up 4 points in the last 5 minutes and that good defence turned into some good offence scoring 11 points in the final 5 minutes with a late arrival to the game Steven Dickson picking up 7 points.
A great performance all around with the new look Lothian League men looking like they are a force in the league and with 3 games before the Christmas break will be looking to close out the year challenging Blaze for top spot.
