Weekend preview - Friday 8th, Saturday 9th & Sunday 10th November

Its Scottish Cup duty for the women's teams this weekend. First up are the Junior Women who travel to Glasgow on Friday night to face Lady Rocks. Whilst these teams are at opposite ends of the table, this is deceptive as the Lady Rocks one and only game was against Kats two weekends ago in the league and only two points separated them, so it will be a tough game. Polonia await the winners of this fixture having been given a bye.

The Cadette Women will have a much shorter distance to travel on Sunday when they play Polonia at the Crags. Both teams will be hoping to bounce back from recent defeats in the league with Polonia having been demolished by St Mirren by 80 points and Kats losing to SWL by 18. Kats were left ruing their missed chances in the SWL game as they were more than a match for SWL in getting to the basket just not in finishing! So with their shooting boots on, Kats should be a tough side to beat.

The Senior Women are also in Glasgow this weekend as they play Glasgow University on Sunday at the Emirates Arena. The non-National League side will be unknown to all but the students in the Kats side but hopefully Kats will prove to be strong for them.

Three of the National League men's side travel to Troon on Saturday with the Junior Men Division 2 side's game against Tayside on Sunday having been postponed. The ever improving Cadet Men are first up at 12:30 where they will hope to build on the run of 3 recent victories in the league and cup. The Junior Men having played brilliantly against Blaze in midweek but ultimately losing out will hope to continue their fine run of form and improve on their league position. The Senior Men will be without coach Doug Reilly as he flies out to Germany to catch one of his son Lee's games for Gotha Rockets so assistant coach Craig Nicol will be in charge. Whilst hopeful of a full squad for this game, Doug will be keeping a close eye on Menelaos at training to make sure he is back to full fitness after his hamstring injury against Glasgow University.

Good luck to all and if you are at the game, keep us updated on Facebook if you see no one else is doing it!
