Full weekend of action at Portobello

This weekend sees a full programme of games at home, as the National Leagues enter their final stages. The womens' teams are up against Glasgow Rocks while the men are entertaining Boroughmuir Blaze.

The Senior Men kick-start the proceedings with a Friday night game at 8:00pm against local rivals Blaze. Despite the difference in league positions, with injuries on both sides, this could be a tougher match-up than might be expected as Sandy Sutherland explains on scotsman.com.

On Saturday the Cadette Women take to the floor at 11:00am hoping to reverse their one point defeat to the Rocks two weeks ago. The Junior Women follow at 1:00pm and should be in confident mood given their convincing win over the Rocks earlier this season. In the crunch game of the weekend at 3:00pm, the Senior Women need to defeat the Rocks to ensure their league ambitions continue, with both teams on 2 losses for the season. Check out Sandy Sutherland's preview on scotsman.com.

The league-winning Cadet Men take centre stage at 5:00pm and will be playing to maintain their unblemished record in the last game of the season. Though expect Blaze to have other ideas, as Sandy Sutherland reports. Either way, the boys should be presented with their trophy after the game. Last up at 7:00pm the Junior Men are looking to reverse their disappointing 12 point loss to Blaze before Christmas. Winning this last game of the season will ensure a top 3 finish and a favourable play-off position.

There will also be the February draw for the 200 Club and the tuck shop will be open so hope to see you at Portobello!
