Cadets take league title in Inverness

Braving the long snowy trip to Inverness, the U16 Men proved too strong for the Highland Bears with a 77 - 56 win on the road. A fantastic 24 - 6 third quarter performance sealed the victory. That win clinches the league title for the boys with still one game to play, with Rian Neill top scoring in the game with 20 points. Congratulations to all the squad and to Coach Dickson. We look forward to the presentation of the the trophy, hopefully at Portobello next weekend!

The winning team and supporters at Inverness

Meanwhile in Perth, a much depleted Junior Men squad strengthened their league postion for the Play Offs with their highest scoring game of the season, winning 103 - 89 against Phoenix. Matt was top scorer on 41 points. Thanks to stand-in coach Alan Lamb for taking charge of the team and a special mention to Cadet Ryan Brown for helping out the Juniors!

The Senior Men left it late in Glasgow in a very tight 75-74 win over Glasgow University on Saturday. With Edgars forced to leave the game early due to injury, it was left to Lee with an impressive 44 points to keep the Kings in the top spot at the top of the league.

The Senior Women were not so lucky on Sunday, going down 47-59 to Polonia Phoenix, with Sarah O'Brien top scoring for the Kats with 15 points. The loss opens up the league title again, with the Kats, Glasgow Rocks and Polonia all in the frame with only two games to play.
