Regional Development Leagues 2014/15

The East and Central Development League is the main competition outlet for our younger players and this year we have more teams than ever in line with our aim to offer as many players the chance to get playing time to aid their development. The league gathers teams together in a central venue each month and typically each team plays 3 or 4 games. We are entering the following teams based on the numbers of players we have at each session :

Under 10s - one girls' team and one boys' team

Under 12s - one girls' team and two boys' teams

Under 14s - one girls' team and two boys' teams

We haven't entered any under 16 teams as the Club felt that at this age group the National League offered a better competition structure. We have entered teams in the National League Division 1 and 2 for both boys and girls.

The dates for the Regional Development League games have been announced as :

  • Sunday 28th September 14 (U14's and U16's)
  • Sunday 26th October 14 (U12's, U14's and U16's)
  • Sunday 30th November 14 (U10's, U12's, U14's and U16's)
  • Sunday 14th December 14 (U12's, U14's and U16's)
  • Sunday 25th January 15 (U12's, U14's and U16's)
  • Sunday 22nd February 15 (U12's, U14's and U16's)
  • Sunday 8th March 15 (U10's)
  • Sunday 22nd March 15 (U12's, U14's and U16's)
  • Sunday 26th April 15 (Finals)

The top two teams in the under 12 and under 14 leagues will play in the RDL finals to determine the East and Central RDL champions. These top two teams in the Under 14 league will also represent East and Central in the Under 14 National Challenge. The qualification for the Under 12 National Challenge is still to be decided but unlike previous years this will be a club based competition rather than a regional one.

There will also be an Under 10 National Challenge which will be open to all teams either as a Club, region or development group.
