Grangemouth Sports Centre on Sunday 27th April sees the culmination of the East and Central RDLs with the top two teams in each league playing each other for the league title. We are delighted that our under 12 girls and our under 16 men have both qualified for their finals and proud to say that our other teams in the RDL both just missed out, with our under 14 girls and one of the under 14 boys teams finishing in 3rd place in their leagues. There has been some confusion about the under 14 boys league as, unlike all the other leagues in this RDL, only the result in the first meeting of the teams were counted in the league with all the other times the teams met being regarded as "friendlies". We will, as ever, be contributing to the review of the RDLs at the end of the season with a view to hopefully improving this for future seasons.
Under 16 Men Final
Falkirk Fury v City of Edinburgh Kings
10:15-11:15
The under 16 men draw the short straw of the early game so let's hope the boys have an early night! Coach Mark Stevenson and his team played both their league games against Falkirk in November and lost heavily but this is a team who have improved all season and will be a much tougher team to beat now and could just cause an upset. The team is :
- Rory Milne
- Stuart Greathead
- Ryan Armour
- Ryan Ness
- Jordan Scott
- Fraser Black
- Lewis Rudge
- Finlay Rae
- Blair Stobbart
- Thomas O'Brien
- Omar Shehata
- Liam Woods
Under 12 Girls Final
East Lothian Dragons v City of Edinburgh Kats
15:00-15:30
This has been a very strong season for our under 12 girls and the icing on the cake would be the league title. Coach Janie McBrierty has been able to name her strongest side for what should be a great game against runners up, East Lothian Dragons. The players are :
- Pollyanna Storie
- Lucia Garland
- Robyn Collins
- Ellie Cochrane
- Clara Palmer
- Maja Majerowicz
- Cara McManus
- Alannah Skellett
- Rosie Goodall
- Kate Broadway
