Weekend preview - Saturday 30th November & Sunday 1st December

Saturday 30th November

On Saturday our men's teams welcome Falkirk Fury to Portobello.

First up are the Cadet Men at 11am, with both teams on the same amount of points in the league, Kings will be hoping to get the win and leapfrog their rivals.

The Junior Men are on at 1pm and will be determined to break Fury's undefeated run this season.

Then at 3pm it's the SNBL Game of the Week when the Senior Men, who will still be smarting from losing their league crown last season, will need to defeat Falkirk to stop the same thing happening this season.

Games between these old rivals are never dull and with so much at stake this is definitely not to be missed. The game at Portobello last season was a sell out and we had to turn latecomers away as we could not fit one more single person in the hall, so make sure you get to Portobello early!

Sunday 1st December

The Senior Men's Lothian League team travel across the city to Broughton High for an early morning tip-off against Edinburgh Lions. Game starts at 10:20am.

Also with an early start are the U16 Women who face the long journey to Inverness for a 1:30pm game against Highland Bears. This is the first meeting of the teams this season and a win by the Kats would see them draw level with the Bears in the league standings.

The Kings Under 18 Men Division 2 team are also away on Sunday, travelling to The Peak to take on Stirling Knights at 3:15pm. With a win against the Knights already this season they should be looking to dominate the Stirling team who have yet to win a match this season.

The Senior Women feature in the last game of the weekend with a 4:00pm tip-off at Arbroath against Tayside Musketeers. This the first time the teams have met this season but a win for the Kats is essential if they wish to keep up the pressure on the current league leaders, Lady Rocks.

The Junior Women's away game against Tayside has been cancelled and rescheduled for Friday 17th January 2014.
