Kings v Pleasance Lothian League 30th October

Pleasance @ Lothian League Kings (Chairman's Cup Last 16)‏

The first cup game of the season started with a foul and free throws for the visitors. Defence was the order of the day with the Kings closing out the first quarter with a commanding lead which continued throughout the game as the team never allowed Pleasance to score into double digits in any of the four quarters.

A few steals from Craig Nicol provided some easy layup opportunities towards the end which he took with ease. Points were going on the board from around the team and showed that there was a real team effort tonight where everyone was in sync which was evident with some of the fast breaks that helped pick up some easy baskets.

The Kings move on to the Quarter Finals on a high with the prospect of playing Boroughmuir Blaze - if they can get past their own last 16 match up.

All in all a great team performance which was lead by Graeme Cameron who managed the floor well and put up 9 points and a handful of rebounds. Final score 51-26 to the Kings.

Kings scorers:

  • Liam Kelly - 12 Points
  • Troy Batten - 9 Points
  • Graeme Cameron - 9 Points
