City of Edinburgh Basketball Club will be well represented at this year's initial Training Camp for this summer's GB under 20's European campaign.
Alongside ex-Kings players, Grant McKay and Matt Wilcox, our Junior Men's coach Jim Wright has been invited along on the coaching side. Grant and Matt, both Scotland National Squad players, are hoping to make the final 12 to participate in Euro B this summer.
They are following in some big footsteps of previous COE players to trial and play for GB 20's including current Senior players Garreth Lodge, Lee Reilly and Sarah O'Brien.
Coincidentally, the Head Coach is Doug Leichner who has coached previous Scottish u18 player Ali Fraser at the University of Maine.
Another Scot Doug Bennett who played u18 Men in 2011 is also invited to Camp, which will select a training squad, which will be further whittled down to the 12 selected to go to the tournament.
