This weekend sees the finale of the Men's National League season and two of our teams are in contention in the last weekend. The first league to be decided will be the Senior Men's - the outcome of the game on Friday 1st March, when the Kings take on Falkirk Fury, will determine the league winners.
This game will definitely be a huge draw for fans of both Clubs and neutrals so please make sure you get down to Portobello early as we do not want to have to turn any of our own members away. Doors open at 6:30pm for an 8:00pm tip-off.
Please note there will be an admission fee for this game - unless you bring along a City of Edinburgh Yearbook. Tickets will be provided for players and coaches of the Senior Men's team and guests.
The Junior Men and Cadet Men will also play their last games of the season on Saturday 2nd March at Portobello, tip-offs at 5pm and 3pm respectively.
While the Cadets will be playing for bragging rights over their old rivals Falkirk and for play-off places, the Junior Men still have a chance to win their league if they win against Falkirk and Boroughmuir also beat Tayside. A big crowd to cheer both teams on and to celebrate their achievements and progress this season would be appreciated by the players.
The leagues on the women's side of the Club still have a few games left, and while Juniors and Seniors are still in contention both, like the Junior Men, need to rely on other teams slipping up, which means each remaining game is a must-win!
The Junior Women and Senior Women both play Polonia on Saturday 2nd, also at Portobello, with 11am and 1pm tip-offs - again a big home crowd would help the players!
