Despite a defeat for the Cadette Women against a good Fury side, the 2 other Kats teams came away with convincing victories from the Mariner on Saturday 23rd February.
The Junior Women got off to a great start against Fury and never looked back. Some more exciting fast breaking basketball saw the girls record an 84- 52 win, winning all 4 quarters in the process. With 10 players scoring and 5 of them in double figures, it was another all round team performance which has been the mark of the last few games, all good court time for the whole squad. Double figures from Kirsty, Kirsten, Hannah, Nicole and Shannon, with good support from Ciara, Rowan, Geraldine, Kathleen, Elspeth and Lauren.
The Senior Women were down on numbers for this game with Sarah, Leanne, Kara and Shauna all unable to take the court. However, the others played up to their ability, ably supported by some more Juniors than normal. Big points from Lauren, Louise and Hannah with double figures also from Emma and Tracey and points from Jenny and Kirsten gave the girls an 88 - 47 win.
