Girls win 2 out of 3 in Arbroath

The girls teams travelled to Arbroath on Sunday for games against Tayside.

After a slightly depleted Cadette Women side lost their game to Musketeers, the Junior Women team warmed up the crowd again with a a very close game which went to the last basket.

The lead went back and forth throughout the game, but the girls found themselves 6 points down with 2 mins to go. A huge effort in defence and some good finishing saw them score the last 8 points of the game to win 58 - 60. Great team effort with 5 different players scoring the last 5 baskets.

The Senior Women had a good win against their Tayside counterparts, and were never really troubled. It was a game when the whole bench contributed. The girls are coming into good form in time for consecutive games against St Mirren, the second one in the Cup semi-final on 15th Dec.

Meanwhile on Saturday, it was a 100% success rate for the male teams at Dunfermline.

Both the Senior and Junior Men posted high scores over Dunfermline Reign to convincingly win 101-56 and 101-61 respectively. The Cadet game was closer but the boys still came through 73-69.
