Three out of six against the Saints

The club had a degree of success at the weekend, with three wins out of six at Portobello.

The Senior Women completed a comfortable 61 - 37 win, with Rowan top scoring on 19 points.

In the Junior Women's match, Coach Findlay reports:

Good effort from the Junior Women, but not good enough to topple St Mirren.

The Junior Women went down 34 - 63 to St Mirren at Portobello on Saturday, but continue to show progress and put in a big effort throughout the game.

Seven of the nine Junior Women scored with Hannah hitting 12 points.

Undoubtedly a development year for the girls, the experience they are gaining will reap rewards next season.

We host local rivals Polonia in the next game on Tuesday 7th Feb.

The Cadette Women also put in good effort going down only 41 - 50 against the league leaders, with Shannon top scoring on 11.

The Senior Men carried on from their excellent performance last week with a strong 104 - 71 victory that never looked in doubt after a 33-17 first quarter lead. Top scorers were Lee and Edgars with 27 each.

The Cadet Men maintained their unbeaten record with a convincing first half performance, going in 43-16 at half time. This allowed extensive use of the bench in the second period, and a comfortable 59 - 40 win. Great performance from Liam who top scored with 18.

The Junior Men looked like they had the makings of an upset, keeping the score very tight in a 29-31 first half. The third quarter proved decisive for the Saints though with an 18 - 0 run resulting in a final score of 52 - 80. Good effort from the young Kings team though.
