Weekend Preview 7th, 8th and 9th March

Another busy weekend for the Club sees many of our younger players attending the second FutureStarz National Camp, there will then be an anxious wait in many households until the u11, u12, u13 and u14 Scotland teams are announced on Wednesday. Good luck to everyone.

On Friday the Senior Men will welcome Glasgow Rocks to Portobello for their last league game of the season. With Kings secure in 3rd place but with no prospect of overhauling St Mirren for 2nd, Kings will be playing for pride and to end the season with a repeat of the comprehensive win the last time the teams met.

On Saturday there is a full day of games at Portobello, starting with the Cadette Women at 11am against Lady Rocks. A tough task awaits Kats who will need to defeat the second placed team in the league to improve on their league position.

The biggest game of the National League weekend is at Portobello at 1pm where our Senior Women face Lady Rocks in a title decider. A win would mean Kats would clinch the league and Cup double, so get yourself down to Portobello to cheer them on.

With the league trophy being presented to the Junior Women before their game at 3pm against Rocks, Kats won't want anyone spoiling their party but Rocks are still in the fight for the runners up spot so will be keen to get the win.

It's then over to the men as the Cadet Men and Junior Men both face Tayside at Portobello. The Cadet Men will finish the season in 4th place irrespective of the result in this game at 5pm but the Junior Men who tip off at 7pm are still in with a chance of a 3rd place finish if other results go their way.

The other big game of the day on Saturday will take place at Grangemouth Sports Centre where our Junior Men will meet Edinburgh Lions at 1:30pm in the semi final of the Division 2 championship.

On Sunday the Cadette Women will play their final game of the season in Division 2 at 1pm at The Peak in Stirling. A fantastic season sees Kats go into the final game undefeated and the league trophy will be presented at the end of the game.
