Kings Senior Men gained the Scottish National League title for the sixth year in a row, at Portobello on Saturday.
It was a shaky start for the team though, down by 10 points in the first quarter and by 5 at the end of the half. A much improved second half performance ensured an 82 - 65 win, with Craig top-scoring on 27 and Paddy with 23.
Many congratulations to Coach Reilly and to the entire squad for another excellent achievement. We look forward to the presentation of the trophy after next Saturday's league game at Portobello.
Meanwhile, the Senior Women put in a strong performance against local rivals Polonia Phoenix, with a 71 - 53 win on Sunday at Wester Hailes, ensuring a second place finish in the National League. Well done to the Kats!
The younger women's teams split the honours against Polonia, with the Juniors going down 52 - 73 and the Cadettes winning 64 - 51, with Rowan the top-scorer on 17 points. Both teams face Tayside Musketeers away in Arbroath next weekend, as the league season draws to a close.
