A change in regulation means that at least one Level 2 qualified table official must be used for all Senior games. At this time we only have five Level 2 table officials, none of whom are from the men's side of the Club. This leaves the Club at risk of fines, particularly for Senior Women matches as four of our five level 2 officials are Senior Women. The team coaches will be asking for volunteers from our Level 1 officials to attend a course to upgrade to Level 2. Once qualified Level 2 officials have the opportunity to be selected by basketballscotland for Cup finals and international games.
We are always looking for more Level 1 officials so if you haven't qualified yet then please let your coach or a member of the Committee know as we will be arranging more Level 1 courses in the future. You don't need to be a player to be a table official, parents, friends or anyone with an interest in supporting Basketball can volunteer. So please support the Club in this initiative, you never know you may even enjoy it!
